Recall in the video, the moment Chef Michel (*in character) decided to actually TRY the drink.. It was at that moment when the memory phrase “DON’T ASSUME, LEAVE SOME ROOM” came into to play. Correct? Now put this in perspective when thinking about group projects with shared responsibility. On an individual level, how can you show assertive qualities while maintaining a leadership role within your group, but also “leave room” for other group members’ input? Can you think of a time when you failed to actually listen to someone else’s input because you didn’t think it would be helpful to the cause?
**Note: Being a leader is not just about taking on sole responsibility, but it’s a partnership amongst each member of your team,-it’s allowing a shared perspective for each other’s ideas and thinking so that all are heard and valued.
